To address this fascinating topic, we combine field and laboratory experiments with <span style=\"color: #808080;\">biodemography<\/span>, <span style=\"color: #808080;\">quantitative genetics<\/span>, <span style=\"color: #808080;\">molecular biology<\/span> and <span style=\"color: #808080;\">insect physiology<\/span> to understand how arthropods adapt to novel environments, for example, novel host plants or projected global warming.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Our research takes place in some of the most endangered ecosystems on earth, such as tropical
